The ABP Southampton Marathon Festival returns in 2026, bringing one of the South Coast’s most popular running events back to the city for a day packed with atmosphere, achievement and celebration. Whether you’re chasing a PB or taking on a brand-new distance, this is a race day that delivers unforgettable moments from start to finish.
What’s New for 2026?
An iconic new start line
All races (excluding the Mile Fun Run) will now start from Dock Gate 8 at the City Cruise Terminal, offering more space, improved facilities and an incredible start-line atmosphere as runners set off together.
Mass start excitement
The Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K will all begin at 09:00, creating a buzzing, high-energy launch to race day. The Mile Fun Run will take place later in the afternoon.
The first-ever Marathon After Party
For the first time, runners are invited to celebrate their achievement at the ABP Southampton Marathon After Party, hosted at the O2 Guildhall. Expect a fun evening of music, shared stories and well-earned post-race celebrations.
Charity Places Available
We have 13 charity places available, and you can choose your distance – whether it’s the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K or 5K.
Runners are asked to pledge a minimum fundraising target of £250, and in return you’ll receive a running vest to wear on race day.
Raise £500 or more and you’ll also receive a free bucket hat or bobble hat as a thank-you for your amazing effort.
