Anything that raises money for charity is classed as fundraising, the only real limit is imagination (and of course.. please keep it legal!).
As well as fundraising events there are also many other ways to fundraise.
Here are a couple of ways that you can support the charity at no extra cost to you. These include selling items on eBay and Easy Fundraising.
Help us raise funds simply by shopping online. You shop and brands donate a small percentage to us! What’s even better is that it won’t cost you anything extra. To us, this is a win-win. A great way to enjoy some guilt-free shopping, safe in the knowledge that the more you spend, the more you raise for Harry’s HAT!
If you are doing an event, consider setting up a Facebook Fundraiser or open an online fundraising page, then share your page with your contacts. This is an easy way to let everyone know what you are doing and encourage them to support you.
If you are taking part in a sponsored event then you may want to consider asking the company you work for to support you. Your workplace may even be able to match the amount you raise up to a certain level. Don’t forget to use your office intranet and/or email to spread your fundraising message, so everyone can get involved.
Top tip: Add your online fundraising page to your email footer so everyone can find out about your challenge.
Please consider entering an event and pledging to raise money for us. If you sign up we will provide you with a charity T-shirt and/or technical running vest as well as promotional information and we will be at the end of the phone to help you with all aspects of your fundraising.

To help make fundraising easy we have registered with a number of fundraising platforms including JustGiving, which makes fundraising online easier and means that the platforms can collect Gift Aid on our behalf. Please click on the Just Giving box below to access the platform.
An average charity collection pot will generate £260 per year, so for us this is great way to raise much needed income. Not only does the collection pot generate funds but it also helps raise awareness of our work. Supporters kindly take the pot and display in their shop, place or work or community organisation. All the pots come with tamper proof seals and we have a method for paying in the money raised. If you could help by displaying a collection pot then please get in touch.
