On Sunday 13^th of September the Harry’s HAT team gave their time to support the Surrey Heath Borough Council organised Duathlon.  The event which had originally been planned for March, was really well organised and everyone worked really hard to keep the competitors and spectators safe and socially distanced.  Understandably, some of the competitors had chosen to pull out so in the end there were thirty participants.  For us marshalling the event,  gave us an opportunity to raise awareness of our work and to lend our support to Surrey Heath Borough Council who have always been so supportive.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions we were unable to take cash donations but we were able encourage people to give via Text or online and so we still made £70 from the day.  We also met two brilliant contacts including the lovely, Ashleigh from Ashleigh Martin’s Hair Salon in Windlesham.  Ashleigh was really interested in our work and so the hair salon will now be supporting Harry’s HAT!
