During Volunteers Week, which took place on the 1-7^th June 2021, we received an unexpected email.  The email, from the Royal Holloway University Of London, told us that we had won their ‘Outstanding Community Partner Award’.  The award is in recognition of the work we have been doing to increase our understanding of hydrocephalus and the impact on families.  This work has been undertaken with the support of students from the university who, under our guidance and support, have been involved with in-depth parent and carer interviews.  We are now using the information gained to paint of picture of families experiences, when caring for a child with hydrocephalus and to highlight areas were there is un-met need.
