We joined partners across the world to mark World Hydrocephalus Day on 20th September 2024.
The initiative came from The Hydrocephalus Association, which hosts Hydrocephalus Awareness Month every September. The HA is based in the United States and does fantastic work to connect with charities like ours in the shared interest of improving the lives of those who live with hydrocephalus, and their families.
Globally 400,000 children every year are diagnosed with hydrocephalus. We were keen to offer our support for this year’s campaign which focused on showcasing the many faces of this condition. We were delighted with those who shared their family stories to help raise awareness and educate future generations on how to identify hydrocephalus. See the activity at #WorldHydrocephalusDay
