Since founding Harry’s HAT, we have come across many families forced to fundraise for items or activities to help their child. Items not freely available on the NHS or items which just make life that little bit better. We have therefore launched our ‘Gap Funding’ programme. Gap Funding grants of up to £500 are available to UK families who need something extra and/or help towards an overall fundraising appeal, who have a child aged 18 and under with hydrocephalus. The grants are designed to be quick and simple. There is short online form available via the links below (hard copies available upon request).

Additionally, we are making grants of up to £1000 available to UK hospitals who care for children with hydrocephalus to purchase equipment which can benefit children with the condition. There is short online form available via the links below (hard copies available upon request).

Next rounds will open in Spring 2002.

We will run the grant rounds three times a year, subject to funds.

We are also partnering with the Tree of Hope children’s charity.  We are doing this so that we can support families who are running larger fundraising appeals, for children with hydrocephalus. Tree of Hope children’s charity helps children and young people with a disability or illness by supporting their families to raise the funds that they need to pay for specialist care that is not freely available through the UK healthcare system.  If you are launching a fundraising appeal for your child then it is worth considering whether Tree of Hope can help. https://www.treeofhope.org.uk/
